This 1 day study day is specifically designed for all Admin & Clerical staff attached to the NHSBSP together with admin staff in breast units, wards and GP practices.

A 1 day course suitable for assistant practitioners - training or qualified.

Topics to include:-

• Live technique demonstration
• Imaging technology
• Post diagnosis options
• Family history

This 1 day course will be of interest to new & experienced radiographer film readers and will include lectures and small interactive workshops. All delegates are requested to provide at least one case for discussion

• Soft copy reporting
• Interesting & difficult cases
• Intervals
• New technologies in breast disease diagnosis
• Research update

Guest speaker: Professor Andy Evans, Professor of Breast Imaging, Dundee University

This educational programme provides core training for registered radiographers practising in Breast Services. Theoretical aspects of this validated programme will be delivered in June & November each year.  The timing of each practical secondment can be negotiated according to individual need.

Successful candidates will achieve the Society of Radiographers Post Graduate Award in Mammography and gain academic credit with our partners Sheffield Hallam University.  These credits can be carried forward into further career progression within a Masters Framework.
