Nurse Practitioners
Nurse Practitioners are nurses who have advanced nursing skills and have been trained to talk to and examine women with breast problems.
They have also been trained to request the appropriate tests/investigations needed in women with breast problems. They work closely with surgeons and radiologists during clinics where women attend with new breast problems. Nurse Practitioners are also skilled in the care of women who have had breast cancer and will see these women in the Breast Cancer Follow Up Clinics.
